I was blessed with the opportunity to visit Grapevine while traveling. To my surprise and delight I happened to come upon the most charming Christian book store I have ever been in ever, “Holy Grounds”. I was greeted by the most wonderful smells of coffee and candles two of my favorites and the cutest schnauzer. There was the “weeping cherub” I have been seeking for a while perched atop a shelf. My spirituality has always taught me that there is no such thing as coincidence. While in your store I was so deeply touched, I was moved to tears in fact. It was a privilege and a pleasure to meet Andrea, who she saw that I was becoming visibly distressed and was so gracious. You see, we had recently suffered a tragedy, the loss of our 1st baby, a son, William Herbert Costa Isaac, some weeks earlier. I gave birth to him during my second trimester. I was almost unable to survive from the emergency related to blood loss and overwhelming grief. I shared my story with her and we prayed together and she even offered to put his name on the store’s prayer wall. Prayer means everything to me. There was even another woman in the store, a stranger, she bought me a pocket cross and offered it to me gently saying, “I couldn’t help but overhear, May God bless you”. Bless her heart! Thanks to Andrea and one of the owners, my items conveniently shipped to me back at home in Michigan. I was moved to tears once again when I saw the scripture and verse on the reverse of my sign. “The Lord bless and keep you, be gracious unto you and give you peace.” Numbers 6: 24-26 I thank God for you and won’t soon forget you! I will have daily reminders of love, hope and encouragement, from you in my garden and kitchen. May God Bless.

This store is amazing! It smells wonderful when you walk in and the store is filled with beautiful Christian gifts, books and keepsakes. Today was my first time in and I will continue to come back again and again. The staff is so friendly and made me feel like I was a guest in their own house,not to mention the two greeters that meet you when you come in...the two dogs that hang out there. What a cute store! I visited Holy Grounds on 4/23/09. It was a warm, friendly place with cookies, coffee bar, and helpful staff. I walked out with coffee gifts, greeting cards, and 2 Bibles when I only intended to just look around. You must stop by when you are in Historic Downtown Grapevine, one of my favorite places! Yvonne

I visited your shop in March with my brother-in-law's wife, Karen. We were visiting from out of state, and Karen was taking me to her favorite places. We were meant to be at your store at that time as Liz was putting the finishing touches on a "crown of thorns". It became our congregation's "crown of thorns" and has made the trip all the way back to MN without losing a thorn.
