The Sky Is Always Blue - Michelle Meade -True Story

 

It is so precious to me as I recall how faithfully the Lord continued to encourage me throughout this difficult journey. One day making my way to the grocery store, the windshield wipers were struggling to disperse the pounding water from a thunderstorm. I pulled over to a side street to get my bearings as I looked up at the sky between the fast moving blades. The dark ominous clouds seemed to represent these turbulent years struggling to survive. Before I could declare my questioning heart, He spoke.

“Michelle, the sky is always blue.”
“It’s stormy and black right now, literally and figuratively in my life?”
“The sky is always blue.” My Lord repeated
“I don’t mean to argue but if it’s blue then I simply can’t see it.”
“The sky is always blue.” The Lord said for the third time.

To grasp this truth I recalled a recent flight I boarded in a storm. Despite my apprehensions, the plane only bounced a few times in turbulence before it plowed effectively through those billowing clouds and climbed safely above the threatening weather. At this altitude, my view was altogether different. The storm was still raging below, but in a place of security I calmly looked out at a peaceful sea of blue.

The Lord showed me the only difference between what I saw from the ground versus what I viewed from those heights was my perspective. It is a matter of judgment to determine what is greater- the threat, or my God, the fearful circumstances, or my God, my weaknesses, or my God? My God is the only denominator in any of life’s equations that never changes. Ever. He is Constant, Faithful and True.
