Prayers Shortly after opening Holy Grounds, our customers began asking us to pray for them. One of the first requests was from a couple in town for a marriage conference. They had lost their beautiful 4 year old daughter, Kelly, the year before to an aneurysm. She died in her sleep. They handed us her picture and asked us to keep their family in our prayers. We put her picture on the wall.She was the first. The wall is now flooded with pictures, emails, notes, and prayer requests from all over the world. We lay hands on the wall and pray at the close of business.
Our wall began to get too crowded-----I looked at the picture of little Kelly one evening just before we began to pray----she had been on the wall for a year----I started to take her picture down when Sharon said-----her parents were in the store the day before attending the same marriage conference. They were elated to see their daughter's picture still on our wall. We will now leave all prayer request up until our prayers have been answered. It may take a lifetime to heal from the loss of a child. We will continue to pray for little Kelly's family. Blessings 8-20-08 |
